The Edmonton and District Labour Council (EDLC) will be holding its 32nd Annual Labour Day Barbecue this year on Monday, September 4th, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at a new location of Clarke Stadium – 11000 Stadium Road, Edmonton, Alberta.

The EDLC Labour Day BBQ is significant in many ways.  It provides fresh BBQ’d food (corn and fruit), entertainment and recreation for all, the opportunity for union members to show support for the community we live, work and play in.  It’s a great time for to gather and celebrate the contributions of working people and rediscover that we have more in common with each other than those who govern us.

The BBQ has been expanded to include family orientated aspects to the day including bouncy castles, face painting, free books and live music.  In the spirit of labour day we strive to include as many people as possible to celebrate our day.
